Re-scheduled Grant Park Gateway Project Public Meeting With Carla Smith

Saturday, Oct 14, 2017 (11 AM to 12:30 PM) Grant Park Neighborhood Association

Our City Council Member Carla Smith has asked the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs (DPRCA) for a public community meeting regarding details of the Grant Park Gateway Project. The meeting date to discuss the Grant Park Gateway was set for this Saturday, September 30, but has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 14 at 11am. If you have questions you would like to submit in advance, email the DPRCA at gpgateway@atlantaga.gov, and cc Carla at csmith@atlantaga.gov.

District One Council Member Carla Smith's announcement:

"Dear Neighbors,
As you may know, the Tree Commission ruled in favor of the City last night. However, I remain committed to forging a solution that is a win for the concerned neighbors, the project and Grant Park. I am focused on facilitating productive conversations between the neighbors, their lawyers, the Parks Department and the City’s legal team.
Also, in my desire to have a community meeting as quickly as possible following the Tree Commission meeting, I overlooked the holiday Yom Kippur which is this Saturday.
The Grant Park Gateway Public Information Meeting scheduled for Saturday will be re-scheduled to Saturday, October 14th at 11am at the Georgia Hill Facility. Please help me get the word out.
As always, please feel free to call or email me: 404-330-6039; csmith@atlantaga.gov. You can also email parking deck-related questions to GPGateway@atlantaga.gov.
Thanks,
Carla Smith"
