Over 400 Volunteers Install New Playground

Over 400 volunteers gathered in Grant Park, Saturday, October 4 to install a much needed safe play structure. Thanks to partners KaBOOM!, Home Depot, the Grant Park Parent Network, City of Atlanta Bureau of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs - Parks Design and our many supporters, including the John H. and Wilhemina D. Harland Charitable Foundation, BellSouth, Hewlett Packard Matching Gifts Program, David Judd of HGOR, Adams Realtors, McKay and Friends of Keller-Williams, plus the many individuals and businesses purchasing engraved bricks. Mr. Bob Nardelli - CEO of Home Depot and his wife Sue worked shoulder to shoulder with several hundred Home Depot volunteers and over 100 Grant Park neighborhood volunteers to provide a safe playground for the thousands of children that visit the park each year.

You can still get involved. Engraved bricks sales continue. The equipment installation is complete but the next phase includes lighting, benches, trash cans, landscaping and fencing. Monies are still needed in order to make this all happen.

Send your contribution today. Grant Park Conservancy, 499 Broyles Street, SE, Atlanta, GA 30312. 404-521-0938
