Welcomed everyone, explained the agenda and open floor rules, and voting eligibility
Thank you to the zoo for allowing the use of the building

Present grants to area schools: Neighborhood Charter, Parkside Elementary, King Middle, and Maynard Jackson High School
Motion approved unanimously to add Wesley to school grants
Update from schools
Mya Jenkins, Assistant Principle of Neighborhood Charter
School just received $50,000 grant from Sartain Lanier Family Foundation
Participating in a campus-wide food drive for the Atlanta Community Food Bank
Caitlin Simms, Principle of Parkside Elementary
Robo Pandas team #3 were awarded trophies for "Best Robot Performance" and "Best Teamwork" at the First Lego League Robotics Regional Qualifier Competition
Captain Planet Foundation will hold a work day Friday, December 13th to begin the installation of the garden beds. A planting workday open to the entire community will take place in the Spring.

Motion approved unanimously to approve $475 in webmaster expenses in excess of 2013 budget

Grant Park Parents Network had successful Winter Wonderland
New Board of Education members will be sworn in on Monday, January 13th at 1:30pm at the APS central office - 130 Trinity Ave. All are welcome.
Community will be painting over graffiti near Maynard Jackson. Contact Lesley Grant to volunteer to help paint.
January 16 will be tour of Maynard Jackson
APS State of the Maynard Jackson HS Cluster meeting will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 7 p.m. at Maynard Jackson HS.

Curbed Atlanta
is having a neighborhood competition. Vote for Grant Park!
Remove trash cans from the curb after trash day; it is City law.
Review requirements
for what can and cannot be recycled.
Concern about some neighbors not receiving mail. Carla Smith is working to address it. You can also submit complaints at post office on Pryor Street.
