Another Large Oak Lost In The Park

Heavy rains and winds took their toll on Grant Park over the weekend (March 2-3). Among the casualties was a large oak that was lost in the northwest corner of the park. Another victim of drought and lack of maintenance, this tree loss is yet another sign of a green space under stress. The Grant Park Conservancy will begin moving 20-year old trees to the park on Tuesday, March 5, in our on-going effort to replant the park and insure a healthy canopy in years to come.
