Atlanta's oldest holiday home tour, the Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes, is sure to be a crowd pleaser again this year with 10 private homes for show, as well as the renovated first floor of the L.P. Grant Mansion, and the beautiful and historic St. Paul UMC sanctuary. Grant Park is Atlanta’s largest historic district with homes built in the Victorian, Craftsman, Italianate and various other styles from the turn of the 20th century, and the Tour each year has a mix of styles as well as other intriguing facets such as decorating styles, unique artwork collections, and landscaping.
Starting at St. Paul United Methodist Church, where pre-purchased tickets can be traded for programs and tickets can be purchased on event nights, the Tour begins at 6:00 pm and lasts until 10:00 p.m. both nights. As every year, the Candlelight Tour of Homes also will include an Artists’ Market and Bake Sale, as well as an old-fashioned caroling by candlelight led by the Grant Park Singers, open both nights with no admission costs.
For additional fun, the popular Winter Wonderland, themed "Holidays Around the World," is returning. Sponsored by the Grant Park Parents Network, the event is free and open to the public and features a special visit with Santa, crafts and other holiday treats. Winter Wonderland takes place in St. Paul's gymnasium (3rd floor) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday.
Finally, be sure to plan ahead for the candlelit Christmas concert performed by the St. Paul choir that happens Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m., just before the Tour starts and the Artists' Market opens.
Tour tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 at
